Garry Connelly AM, BA, Dip Ed, Dip AII, Chairman and Non Executive Director
Garry commenced work in the financial services industry in 1973. In 1988 he was the co-founder of Windsor Bartholomew Australia, a financial services business based in Brisbane.
In 1996 Garry together with a number of Windsor Bartholomew colleagues founded WB Financial Management and extended its operations nationally.
Garry is a member of the FPA and has previously been involved at senior level in industry organisations.
As well as his role as Chairman of WB, Garry chairs the Risk Management and Ethics Committee. He has strong interest and depth of experience in matters of risk management and corporate governance.
Garry is a graduate of Sydney University where he majored in Mathematics and Psychology and sits on a number of company boards, including international mobile technology company MIA of which he is Chairman.
Outside of work his interests are skiing and motor sport. He represents Australia on the world governing body for Motor Sport, the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile. Garry was recognised in the 2009 Queen's Birthday honours list by being made a Member of the Order of Australia.
Murray Wilkinson, Authorised Representative and Non Executive Director Murray was one of the founding Directors of WB Financial Management in March 1996. A Non Executive Director of the Company, Murray works with the Adviser recruitment program and assists in the development of the coaching program for Advisers and their clients. Murray is a practising Certified Financial Planner and works actively with clients on a daily basis alongside members of his team. Murray holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales, Bachelor of Economics from Queensland University and a Diploma in Financial Planning. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
Graham Meredith, Authorised Representative and Non Executive Director Graham was one of the founding Directors of WB Financial Management in March 1996. Graham commenced his career in the Financial Services Industry in 1972. He has experienced the industry's development from a market of basic choices, to a strategic approach to building wealth in today’s complex financial markets. Graham is a practising Adviser with a diverse client base comprising of young people starting out, average families, directors of large companies and high net worth individuals.
Graham is a member of the WB Financial Investment Committee and member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
Paul Carroll, Authorised Representative and Non Executive Director
Paul Carroll has worked in the financial industry since 1983 and is a Non Executive Director of the Company and Principal of WB Financial St Leonards. Paul is highly involved in various WBF activities and is a member of the Conference Committee, Small Business and Professionals Committee and the Client Experience Committee. Along with these roles, Paul is a Principal Member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), as well as a member of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA). He was previously a member of the AFA’s Education Committee.
As the Principal of a successful quality award winning financial planning practice, Paul is supported by a team of professionals who’s major focus at all times is the clients best interests. In addition to working with individuals, Paul also works with organisations to provide a range of corporate solutions to facilitate the delivery of an integrated employee benefits program. He is also a regular speaker at seminars addressing matters relating to financial education and personal wealth creation.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Financial Services and was previously a High School teacher for 7 years before joining the industry.
Prior to his involvement with WB Financial Paul spent 12 years in senior management roles within the Financial Services Industry, during which time he sat on various Industry Committees and was involved in representations to government on industry matters.
John Manning, Group Chief Executive Officer
John is an experienced CEO, has served as a director on company boards and has an outstanding commercial and financial background. John’s impressive employment record shows he is a person who has been very successfully focused on service delivery over a range of industries and organisations.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Management/Finance), in 1988 John completed his Post Graduate Certified Practising Accountant course. John has experience across a diverse range of industries in large blue chip companies as well as SME’s.
Since 2003 he has held CEO roles and has also run a successful private business advisory service, focussed mainly in helping the growth and development of small to medium businesses, working directly with shareholders and staff.
